From Andrew:
Every year, Allegory Gallery hosts a monthlong challenge called Bead In the New Year! It’s a fun calendar of prompts that will hopefully inspire people to kickstart the year with a little bit of creativity.
Day One’s prompt for Bead in the New Year is to make a pair of earrings. I decided to continue my anthropomorphic fruit/veg theme. I sculpted the faces and embedded wire in them. Once my pieces were baked, I embellished them with a little bit of paint. Then I made the seed beaded leaves and used them as bead caps.. I think it turned out pretty cute! The seed beads almost look like little hats!
