Make & Take Classes FAQ

Classes have started back up on select Fridays! Be sure to check out the schedule on our class page before stopping by :-)

Select Fridays from Noon till 4pm—Make & Take Class

Many people come in asking about our classes, and they all generally have the same questions, so we’d like to provide some information here:

Q: Do I have to call to reserve?
A: No, please feel free to stop in anytime during class hours.

Q: I see that your classes run from 12-4pm. Do all the classes take 4 hours?
A: No, we generally recommend 1.5 hours per class.

Q: Do you charge for your weekly classes?
A: No, you only pay for the materials; instruction during Make & Takes is always free!

Q: Do you have a set project for each class session?
A: No, we assist you in creating your own project, so that you get the information you need out of every class! :-)

Q: Do you ever have classes on off days?
A: Yes, if you have a group (e.g. birthday party, girls' night out, etc.) and would like to inquire about setting up special classes, please email us at info@allegorygallery.com or book using the selections below. There are often charges for special sessions and a credit card is required for booking any session with a cost attached, but we try to keep them as low as possible for your group.

Q: Can I bring my own beads from home?
A: While you can bring your own supplemental materials during Make & Takes, since our instruction is free, we ask that you purchase the bulk of your materials with us.

Q: What ages can take classes?
A: We try not to limited anyone who would like to take our classes. We've had students as young as 2-3 years old up to 96 years old. As long as young children are supervised by parents or caretakers, we're happy to allow everyone the space and time to make beautiful jewelry pieces!

Q: Is there anything else I should know?
A: Yes, we want you to have fun! Our classes are great for beginners to more advanced students! We're available to help in any way, from teaching how to do your first crimp to more advanced wire-wrapping techniques. Our classes are all-inclusive so that everyone has the chance to learn from everyone else. It's a great, supportive atmosphere, and everyone has lots of fun!

We hope that you'll join us!! :-)
