Design Challenge Kit—Daring Curiosity
The room is dark as you lower the headset over your head. You feel foolish. It’s an awkward, clumsy thing. You’re only trying it because one of your friends insisted. To be honest, your expectations aren’t very high. This isn’t really your thing… and then, a vast horizon unfolds before you and the ground erupts into millions of tiny flowers. They look so real, but you know they’re only part of the game. The petals, a swathe of color, seem to shift and move in the virtual breeze. The sky is a color you’ve only seen in Maxfield Parrish paintings, not quite blue, not quite purple, but somewhere in between. Your heart is beating. This is something new. This is something different. You lift the headset and it’s your room again. You’re not sure if you want to keep going. It is strange and disorienting, but you’re curious and slide it back into place. Let the adventure begin! Inspired by the Pantone Color of the Year, Very Peri, this kit pulls shades of periwinkle, pale indigo, and blushing violet.

If you're not familiar with the Allegory Gallery Design Challenges, it's a fun and informal way to play, create, and challenge yourself with a pre-selected set of components.
To participate, challengers must order a Design Kit.
Participants will have approximately one month to work on their projects. With the kit, using as much or as little of it as one likes, participant are prompted to create a piece that showcases their creativity, individuality, and artistic expression. Ideally the creation will spotlight the gorgeous selection of beads included, but the sky is the limit with one can use and create!
We've asked that the Challengers keep their projects secret until the reveal date! (Of course, if you want to post teasers, please do! It'll add to the merriment and excitement!)
The project reveal date is set for Thursday, January 13th, 2022.
Post a picture and a short description in the Allegory Gallery Design Challenge Group in the album we create for this challenge! We will spotlight some of the finished creations on the Allegory Gallery Facebook page and our Instagram account to celebrate these unique designs.
