Amy Roadman is an art teacher and artist. Because so many different media are introduced to and explored with her students, her artwork is often an exploration of different media as well. Playing with color and texture to create visual interest are main themes expressed within most of her work. Living in the Laurel Highlands of Pennsylvania and being surrounded by nature makes it easy to find such inspiration. Although jewelry making is not new to her, metalwork and lampwork glass is a new passion that was instilled once taking summer workshops to experiment with the new mediums. Her work was most recently on display at the Seton Hill Alumni Art Show.
